...the first time you get to bail hay. This summer there had been so much rain everything was lush green. The Des Moines river was overflowing it's banks into my dad's corn crop and it made for some interesting drives down by the river in the mule. My kids never give up a chance to sit a top a tractor to be part of this annual ritual of cutting hay. It screams summer and delight to these kids.
I can visualize this in the future.....only they're 6 ft tall and throwing the bails with their cousins Oskar and Otto!
Does this look dangerous? Oddly when you go home to the farm you put kids in positions you later wonder?? is that safe?? Surely it is!!!!!!!!!!
