HAPPY 70th Mom & Dad (we'll stop saying it now since your next birthday you'll turn 72 and we don't want to confuse you!!) Thank you for Hilton Head! We had a great time!!!!!!!
This is my parents' legacy (sans the eldest JOEY). What do you think they are thinking when they look at this bunch in the sand? What are their hopes for this generation. (a good hair day and a nap maybe?) Do they see themselves in their eyes, their laugh or their interests? Do they realize this is a composite of all thier genes! Here they are...add Joey to that mix and you have yourselves the next generation in a snapshot!

Jann and Den....the "Seniors" of the group!! No No...well they have been married 20 years! That counts for somethin'!
(Dana and Elise....currently up to their eyeballs in Dana's disertation! Did I even spell that right? Ugh....he's writing 900 pages and I can't spell that word!)
(The Carlsons....young & in love! or Achey, tired with three kids)Almost all of us made it to Hilton Head to celebebrate my mom and dad's 70th. Don't be alarmed...you didn't miss it. It happened a year and a half ago but we just now made it together to celebrate. We missed Jill & Joey more than they could know!!!! We had fun, we played, we didn't get enough meaty talk, sleep or together as is always the case. But we followed through on a family trip and were reminded that warts and all...we're family and we love each other.

Thanks for doing the pix and the journal. We had a wonderful time and hope all of you did also. Yes, we missed Jill and our eldest grandson. They are very special, as are all our kids and grandkids.
