Oh yes..after 7 years Uncle Dana defended his disertation on blad de blah (something smart about French Literature today) and he is finished!!!!! A standing ovation from his family in Texas!!!! (including the one with the nuki that shouldn't be there!) Congratulations to Dana and Elise who have worked long and hard to make this Ph.D happen. We could not be happier for you both and proud of your efforts and accomplishments Dana.Seriously could you both have 4 weeks off on an island by yourselves??
When I was explaining to the kids that this was the big day (they knew that this was coming) and Audra said at dinner "So he is a Dr.???" Gunnar replies...like Dr. Boardman (their pediatrian) and Audra says flatly "No Gunnar! Not that kind" I go on to explain eloquently what I think Dana is a Dr. of and finally Gunnar says with straight face..."So he's more like Dr. Seuss?"..............long pause....... "Yes Gunnar, that's a little more like it?"
